Should I get a 2nd optical drive?

I currently have a DVD-RW drive, but I was wondering if I should get a 2nd drive to use just for reading CDs and DVDs. I can get a NEC DV-5800C for under $30.

Its always nice to have IMO, you would know better then us if you need it or not.

It would certainly make disc-to-disc copying much faster, and my DVR drive would last longer, right?

The DV-5800C from NEC seems like a good choice, and since my Pioneer DVR-108 uses a NEC controller, it would make a nice match.
