He is 8 months old. I want to fix him but the wife does not want to. I'm afraid he will start spraying in the house. I have also a two year old female who is spayed. The little male keeps trying to mate with her. What should I do?

Edit: He was fixed on Jan. 6 and doing well.

Yeah, there's this thing called a "Poll" - you should have posted one. :p

Fix the damn cat now. Overpopulation = bad.

Fix him. Not only will he spray, but he will caterwall all night if left indoors and tear up the house. If let out he will get into far more fights and over populate the area with more homeless kitties.

Stand firm against the woman and fix the cat.

You don't need a poll to do what's right. Fix the cat.

No, but you can create a new thread, check off "poll" and edit a URL to it into your first post in this thread.

Fix him. Less chance he'll spray, and the world doesn't need any more unwanted kittens. It's the best thing to do.

Get him fixed. You will end up doing it once he starts spraying your furniture or your family. I was sprayed on the pants by a cat once so I know cats do spray people. You might as well neuter him before he ruins anything. That crap stinks, and is hard to get out.

Fix him. He'll be miserable if he can't get any action, and you'll have to listen to the thing cry.

Fix that cat quick. It only gets worse the older they get.

My dog is neutered, he's a great pet and no humping of legs. :)

fix him when he's young...even if you decide to fix him later, he'll keep spraying...AND YOU DONT WANT CAT PISS ALL OVER< THE STUFF IS HORRID!!!

I'm serious, snip the little guy... we caught a 3 year old non-neutered cat, got him fixed, he still sprayed...have to do that stuff when they are young.
