Should I feel guilty?

Ok, I don't do a lot of FS/FT on the forum or in general but I have good heatware for when I do need to use it.

Every couple of months I venture into the FS/FT forum and I read the threads of people who got trolled. I find it good entertainment. While I don't want people to get screwed over, it doesn't change the fact that the read can be highly entertaining. It like reading a good detective story.

Should I feel guilty that I enjoy reading something that details someone's misery of getting ripped off?

I have been indulging in this for years and there have been some really crazy stories over the years.

Do you enjoy the story line or that fact that a person got ripped off?

The story, I would never wish that someone gets hurt on the FS/FT forum. But it happens and I enjoy the craziness that follows. It is nice when the trollhunters actually get the troll.

But the very fact that I enjoy the story means that I couldn't enjoy the story if trolling wasn't occuring.

Basically if it was fiction that would be sweet but you just couldn't make up some of the sh*t that happens.

You're OK. Well, at least in the context of this discussion.

I would say I find them interesting more than enjoyable. I do always end up reading every post of those threads though, because seeing how it came about, then, typically, watching the troll's downfall can be quite fascinating and a good lesson in what not to do when trading.

Indeed, always good to see cooperation from the TrollHunters and other forums members in getting back at the Troll. (like calling his parents, heh)

Kind of like reading locked threads. I go right for them.

The problem with that is I am usually too late to see the real reason it was locked especially if it was juicy. Usually a mod will delete the offending material.

You should feel guilty only if you have some power to make the situation better but you are withholding that power just to read.

Sounds interesting, I'm off to FS/FT for some fun reading. And I don't feel guilty at all.

there are some stories in L&R about dude's SO getting railed like a freight train while they are not around...I suggest you don't venture there.

Is that the one where his SO didn't play video games, then suddenly took them up with co-workers that she was banging?

I was speaking hypothetically that maybe the poster may come to L&R to find a story that hits closer to home one day.

I always look them over too when doing my occasional FS/FT fly-by but it not so much that I like them, its more like looking at a train-wreck ... its totally horrible but you just can't look away.
