Solved! Should I exchange my memory?

I did an upgrade to an i7-9700k, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra motherboard, and 32GB Ballistix DDR4-2666 (2 16GB kits). Now when all 4 sticks are installed, the system will repeatedly turn off and back on and I get a code 55 on the motherboard's diagnostic readout, which means a memory error, and I can't even get a post display. When only 2 sticks from either kit are installed then the system boots up normally. All memory slots on the board are working as I tested 2 sticks of RAM on the A1,B1 and A2,B2 slots, but when all sticks are installed that's when I have the problem. One kit is made in Mexico and the other in Malaysia and has a different SKU number on the sticks even though the part number labeled on the packaging of the kits are the same. Should I exchange it for 1 kit of 32GB DDR4-3200 since the store did not have a 32GB DDR-2666 kit in that brand?

Given your issues, with two seemingly mis-matched sets of sticks, I would. Especially if you are still within the return window with your e-store.

First, if you can, exchange them and get a 4x8GB kit. Who knows what underlying timings the modules use and who makes them.

If you want to mess with them, put one kit on the A1/2 slots and the other kit on the B1/2 slots. That way, each memory channel shares the same specs within itself. What are the exact skus for each kit?

I was wrong. Upon closer inspection, they both are the same part number on the label on the sticks but one had XMP MX and the other had XMP HO. Anyways, I exchanged these 2 kits 16GB kits for 1 32GB DDR4-3200 kit (2x16GB) Ballistix Sport LT. Everything seems to be working fine now.
