if you feel like watching a gothic Romeo & Juliet then be my guest. I went and saw it at the theaters and the only sound anyone made was yawning and coughing :\ I love vampire and gothic like films but this one just pissed me off and about the 1hr mark I was ready to walk out.

I caught the beginning of the movie at the theater and the ending when I woke up.

I thought it sucked a little. Nothing develops between Romeo and Juliet, and you'll wonder how those werewolves were enslaved by the vampires. The vampires must have played a Jedi mind trick on those wolves. It certainly wasn't because the vampires are stronger than the werewolves. Although this hunter-hunted relationship isn't all that important to the movie, it's just something that made me wonder. The fighting sequences were ok, but not anything spectacular. Kate Beckingsale is hot though.

I figured as much... had a chance to see it for free and passed.

I thought it was okay at best. If you think you might like it or like other movies in the genre, give it a shot.

I think im the first one to post that liked the movie.

If you listen to the commentary, you'd learn that this was an extremely low budget movie and tried to get away from cgi (only 4 times were cgi used and all are extremely small parts of the film): the crows in the very beginning, the glass in the car underwater, the wearwolves on the train (all other wearwolf scenes were done by "a guy in a suit"--and two controlling the facial features), and the veins "popping out" (the coloring was air-brushed on). The whole underground battle sequence (at the end) was done using only one corridor that the set had to change to make it appear that it was a huge arena :Q.

Another thing i really liked is the fact that they dont wear sunglasses to hid their eyes from flinching/blinking when they shoot the guns--thats the main reason arnold  and most action stars wear them. They deceided to tell the actors too keep their eyes open--watch it again and because of this i believe you will like the movie even better, but then again im a huge fan of vampire/wearwolf movies.
