Should I even mess with buying "better" speaker wires?

I just got Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 speakers and I just want to know if new speaker wires are worth buying. I've done some research and saw the monster cables are a load of crap, but thats about the extent of my knowledge. Thanks.

Monster actually makes decent cables.
They just charge too damn much.

Go to Home Depot or something and get a spool of 16 gauge wire for dirt cheap.
(Also get some wire cutters.)

Though as far as the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's are concerned, almost everybody I know that has them said the included wire was just fine.

Yeah, do you have the plug ends for the speakers or is it still bare wire and binding posts on the speakers?

I would say don't spend more money trying to improve that set unless you need to make longer wires than are already included.

If the wires are long enough then I'd say just stick with it.

If you're looking for an improvement in quality, start saving up for a speaker upgrade down the line ( although that line never ends 😉 ). For something reasonably priced but a step up from the promedias, Klipsch also has the iFi set that can at times be had for ~$200.
