Should I engrave my ipod?

Ok, I'm about to buy an ipod from apple, should I engrave on the back of it? I will eventually sell the iPod, so I would prefer something without my name on it.


not getting the ipod anymore.
 
1st of all, why would you want to engrave the back of your ipod? if its for a gift, maybe. i bet its expensive too, why waste the money on a piece of garbage that will probably break in a few months?

2nd, why would you want an ipod

Because he is a moronic sheep like a good majority of people out there, I fail to see how an iPod is a "status symbol" because everybody has one, not the "upper class, hot chicks etc.." but even that creepy pedophile or stupid emo kid has one..
 
No, you're only hurting your resale value and whatever humor was once in the phrase you engrave will cease being funny after the second or third time you look at it.
 
Who looks at the back of their iPod anyway? Mine's usually covered by a clip/strap of some kind as it is.

1) i'll kill you will? is that like "i'll kill your will" or "i'll kill you, i will"

2) resale value = yes it will hurt it BAD. no one wants an ipod on the back that will say "i'll kill you" or something. (unless it's covered up 100%)
 
Since you won't kill the person who steals it, why not go with

"when you stole me baby jesus cried" or some such thing.
 
Put a small but identifiable mark on the back that is sufficient for you to identify it as yours. Anything else will just hurt resale.

If I ever bought an ipod, (chances are I won't), I'd engrave it with DON'T PANIC ... it's just a tried and tested phrase and isn't personal..

I just got an iPod last weekend, and that along with an FM tuner for the car has emancipated me from being a slave to crappy-assed Clear Channel owned radio stations.
