Should I drop my ICS 111 (intro to comp sci class)?

I have Math 24 which is elementary algebra. I think I figured out why they have the pre requisite of like math 130 or math 2 something.

Do you think I should drop it? If I drop it now I'll only be taking two courses this semester, plus working a full time job. It would be helluva lotta less stress. Plus I would get back some money and the withdrawal would not show up on my transcripts if I did it now.

Another thing, my teacher goes through the lecture and just zooms through it. He goes through it really quickly.

What do you think?

sounds to me like you have already made up your mind.

if you think its the best choice for you then do it, it will take a lot of stress off you.

Its better to take 2 classes and get A's than to take 3 classes and get C's.

Is this the one where you were trying to learn why 1001 is really 9? Then you should wait and take it by itself when you can give it your full attention. You might also try to do some reading of the class textbook ahead of time before taking it again.

Do you go to UH? Im asking because your course numbers (ICS 111, MATH 24/130) all seem like UH's system.

No where in our class text was there any information on binary conversions. It was taught by the teacher himself.

do it. take the class when you have the time to learn the material.

I couldn't agree more. Make sure you know the elementary stuff very well. If you don't things will only get harder.

What's Math 130? Is that a Calc class?
