Should I download the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Fedora?

Over 4gb ram = yes
Less 4gb ram = no

That doesn't really apply to Linux. You can use a 32-bit kernel with PAE to use up to 64G of physical memory or just install a 64-bit kernel on a 32-bit install. The latter is the better option, but I'm not sure if Fedora ships a 64-bit kernel package like Debian does.

I've tried Fedora, but I don't run it.

Generally speaking, I've found 32-bit versions to be more stable (on other distros).

The most common problem(s) I've run across is 32-bit code sneaking into 64-bit apps (during updates, et cetera). And, of course, 32-bit code doesn't work with 64-bit libraries.

Then, again, maybe the Fedora distro doesn't suffer this problem, soooo... caveat emptor!

I would use 32bit just because as Vin said you can have a hell of a time if an app needs a 32bit lib and you can only access the 64bit lib.

I've been using a pure 64-bit Debian system at home for years now and haven't ever had a problem with 32-bit "code sneaking" into any apps. Flash was the only thing 32-bit on my machine until Adobe got off their asses and that worked ok with ndiswrapper so it was a non-issue anyway.
