should I do this upgrade?

I have a PIII 450 @ 528 (can't get higher, and I think its my RAM).
128M Micron -8e PC100
CL TNT2 Ultra

Should I:

PIII 650E cb0 and o/c

or

get 256M of Mushkin mem

or

Duron mobo + 700MHz Duron

I am not too worried about the vid card right now... maybe it will be my next upgrade.

I'd go for the P3 and try to oc it - that Micron -8e is great for oc'ing so I doubt its your RAM. The Durons are extremely nice but with the P3 you wouldn't have to get a new mobo

Yes, the PIII 650E should be able to do 750MHz easy, or more. That type of RAM is great for o/c. Duron should be out, unless you were intending on upgrading your motherboard?

I thought my RAM was good too... I just can't get past 528...

Francodman, if you are serious I wouldn't mind selling it if I can't find an immediate use for it.

It's probably not your RAM, I think its just your CPU.

Well here is what happend when I tried to o/c:

Turned off L2 cache
voltage at 2.2v
RAS to CAS at 3

CPU has a VOS32 and I have 180cfm going through my case...

I can't exactly remember the error message, something to do with some file is corrupt, but when I re-boot under normal conditions (@528 L2 on, 2v CAS 2) it runs fine.
