just get another card, as long as you have a good power supply that supports the additional card i see no problem
v-sync or fps limiters doesnt fix the problem. The benefit of multi gpu is that your fps skyrockets, whats the point of it when 60fps can be achieved with a single card? crossfire is broken, stop making excuses.
What are you going to choose, nvidia with no or minimal stuttering at 90+ fps or radeons that are capped at 60 to supposedly fix the problem even though it doesnt.
Be warned Far Cry 3 tears pretty bad at anything under 60 fps, so you pretty much need to lower settings until you can get stable 60 fps and then lock vsync. On my 7950 this meant I had to disable MSAA so that I can run with Ultra settings and lock 60fps. It looks good, wish I had MSAA though. I would happily run at 40fps with MSAA except the weird tearing that happens.
not really an nvidia guy
I hear you. However, I just got Bioshock Infinite and you ought to play it on my rig 1 below with GTX670s in SLI :awe::biggrin:![]()
I had 2 6970s in CF but the power usage was high. I think 2 7870s would perform very well. We all get the "power bug" from time to time. Lordy, I see guys on this forum with 3 TITANS! in SLI. That's some SERIOUS JACK$$$. (@$3,000.00)sure send it my way
XD

If you can afford the other 7870 go for it. You PSU is fine and the 8320 at 4.4GHZ is solid. Have fun and keep us posted when you "officially" become crossfired.
BTW, what really is great is playing Bioshock at 2560 x1440 resolution.
