I have just downloaded updates of all my drivers and software from the Internet. My Temporary Folder have 12 subfolders full of stuff including 1,000's of cookies from brousing. Should I clear these folders? If so, how do I do it. Most of the updates were self extracting .exe files. Does this mean the updates are in the correct programm folder? What is the difference between Temporary Internet Folder and Temporary Folder?

you should be able to just delete any folders in your temp folder. the only case where you wont be able to do so is if the temp files are in use at the time you want to delete them. you should be fine deleting them. the temporary internet files folder is where your cookies should be stored for browsing. again you can just delete any files or folders you wish in the temporary internet files folder but i would recommend doing it through your browser. its just a good habit to have.

<EDIT>See if you have DISK CLEANUP on your computer. This should clean out your Temp folder and Temporary Internet Files folder as well. It should be under START -> PROGRAMS -> ACCESSORIES -> SYSTEM TOOLS...I think that's where it is anyway.</EDIT>
