My friends and I went to the midnight showing of Reloaded, utterly sold out, utterly packed.

"UBER-NERDS" are just that, "UBER"

therefore, they will be "UBER"ly eager to see this movie.

Therefore, packed showing.

QED

BTW, the 6 AM is just on the west coast, they're releasing the movie worldwide at the same hour, we East Coasters get it at 9 AM

6AM != Midnight.

Using your example, and on the same token, how many NERDS do you know that go to sleep before 2AM?

Buy tickets online, then go like an hour early. Don't camp for hours, not worth it. I am buying tickets online for like a 3-4 pm showing, and only plan to get there an hour or so earlier.

No, tickets are not the problem guys. Its the seats. I dont know about you, but these arent assigned seats. I have to get the prime seats, its just how I am. I can get a ticket no problem, I need to get there early in order to get my seat. I sorta camped out for the LOTR movies, I got therel ike 6-8 hours early. Believe or not, I was about 50th in line. For the third movie I am getting there 12 hours in advance.

a) Buy it beforehand. Go to the theatre NOW!!!
b) They are releasing it WORLDWIDE at the same time. That means when it's 6am your time, it's 9am somewhere else. Consider yourself lucky to not have to wait another grueling 3 hours.

I'd watch it just to finish the trilogy, but I wouldnt go camp out for the first show. Reloaded left a funny aftertaste in my mouth.

I personally wouldn't. Seems like waste of time. Not to mention it would be uncomfortable as well.

It's not THAT imperative to see it before everybody else does...odds are you will be able to get to a screening in the first few days and you will be able to live without seeing it for that time period.

yeah, but the first showings are so much fun! The people, they are so into it, and we are all united in our geek hood!

If u really insist on doing this then go for it. I personally wouldn't do such a thing.

I'm sure they'll make it IMAX again.

IIRC, it's going to be a simultanious IMAX/Regular Theater relase this time.

Ditto.

Go if you must which is yes in your case.

Me I'll wait to see it a few days after or the day after. Whatever time I can get off but will definately go and see it though.
