I wonder who i should call.. the nature of the booms have changed. I rather have the firedept cut some poor soul in this building cold than have this place in flames.

Should i try an non emergency number?? how about the gas company?

i am calling 311, LA County non emergency number .. that if i hear another few booms in 1/2 hr.. it seems to come in 1/2 hr periods.. or whenever necessary..

LAFD should investigate.. the HOA hasnt done jack.. the so called president of HOA is name sake on this. Infact I think its HIS place that's doing that.

In anycase LAFD would defiantely want them to replace the broken fire-extinguisers down in the garage area - the one i saw was last serviced lets see .. 1996 if I am right!

Nobody sees those fire extinguishers, but i do, my mom's garage door is right there.

You realize those watching the New Years Eve specials would have set the first batch off at 9pm, when it was midnight on the eastern coast and the Times Square ball dropped, right?

(FWIW, this threw me at first, too - this is our first new years eve on the west coast, and everybody setting everything off at 9pm seemed kinda weird until we figured out what. Times Square ball drop = lots of fireworks.)
