Should I buy WoW today (POLL)

I figured I would treat myself to a birthday present. My only concern is a final next tuesday, and one the following Thursday. I played in the open beta (but only for a few hours). My incredibly busy schedule is dying down now (with the exception of the two remaining finals), but should I risk it or wait until after my tests? I leave it up to you to decide.

 
I'd wait till after finals before I got anything that could waste my time as much as WoW, but I also liked Doom 3 so take that into consideration.

Yes, and don't be a Warrior. (There is a huge thread on WoW forums as to why Warriors suck... one reason is becase an unarmed rogue, 2 levels lower than you, can kill you 🙁 )
 
I'll probably be buying it this weekend. It will remained sealed (famous last words) until this coming Friday (last final).

 
I would wait until after finals because the game can be additive. My wife, who doesn't like PC games, sat down one night and created a Gnome Mage and played for two hours with my help. I wasn't able to play for two weeks afterwards because she like playing so much.

Link to that thread ? I already got my warrior to 10 and don't want to start heavy grinding if it s pointless...

lets admit id, i likely wont study for my finals anyways, so i guess that is probably a moot concern

the only other game i play a lot is warcraft 3 and my friends that played that have moved on to WoW

i have no free time, thus no hobbies

i stll plan on hanging out with my friends, maybe, one night a week?

no girlfriend, i plan on finding a hot NE chick that will shake her ass for me


so its decided, im going to grab it on the way home from work (that means now). i probably wont start playing until tomorrow. im a hopeless nerd, but i would hate myself if i stayed in on my birthday!

Go to forums.worldofwarcraft.com and look in the warrior class forums. You'll find plenty of posts. Check the general forum also.

The big issue is that when you get in the teens you will notice that you miss a LOT of your attacks and it's extremely hard to gain rage if you can't attack and can't aggro a mob in a group to get hit to generate rage. So basically you can't get rage and can't use your extra skills... kinda useless at that point...

EDIT: Here's an example of an instance I was in tonight. Me, a couple rogues and warriors. I am a shaman, so was designated healer. I noticed at times that when the two warriors were attacking the mob themselves because the rogues and I were busy on something else, the warriors had a slow time at killing it... The rogues were better.
 
Buy it after finals. I played the open beta all the time and nearly failed exams on three of my exams. Which is why i am not getting it anytime soon.

at least if i have to retake my classes next semester i already have done all the work

There's better games than WoW. Blizzard really disappointed me. Here's hoping StarCraft 2 will return Blizzard to a solid story and plot.

I'm waiting for finals to finish before I buy this as well. When I was playing the beta, it was crack and I was the addict 😉
 
I was going to buy it this weekend, but all the places close by are sold out (upstate NY). This is probably a good thing with 3 projects and 3 finals this week.
