Yes - help the economy and buy Longhorn when it's released also.

I like it when you wake up in the morning, and it's still dark outside. Then it's kinda like you were only asleep for a few minutes instead of hours and you get the ninja-ish rush like "look at me, I'm all badass cuz I'm wide awake in pitch darkness". Then of course you realize that you just forgot to open your shades and find out you're 2 hours late for work because your alarm clock went the way of the dodo.

whats with all the non-sensical completely off topic posts tonite?

i mean, this is OT and all...but at least try to stick to the thread at hand instead of running off on a wild tangent that has nothing to do with anything...

I have a theory. It is my observation that the vast majority of my posts are ignored and a very small percentage of them are actually read. Therefore, the posting of random thoughts that fly into my head in fast-spawning threads will raise the number of posts that are ignored. Ergo, the posts I make that are actually on topic should, statistically, get read.

and I didn't feel like being unoriginal and posting "wrong forum".

and why is that?

because it's cool to join the anti-MS bandwagon :p

i bet you use FF, and tell people how cool linux is, even tho you've never used it :)

Wrong on both counts.

I use Opera, not for security, but functionality.

I've used linux but I still think it's just too damn user unfriendly to be worth my time :p

Sure I use FireFox... but that's only because IE won't run under Linux.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Windows, in fact I run it on my main rig, with SP2 as well. SP2 is great, and if you think otherwise, then you are just ignorant of the fact that it helps 99.9% of Windows users.

I don't get this. Is it a trick question? I feel like if I say "no" I'll have 30 S.W.A.T thugs smashing through my ceiling and shoving M4s up my ass. So... maybe. I mean yes.

SP2 turns windows into a nanny operating system, it's intrusive behavior is made for the lowest common denominator of computer users and adds no tangible benefit other than a crappy software firewall and a million and one new ways to piss you off.

Are you sure you want to open this? It could be a VIRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And no, I'm not on an anti-MS tangent, I happen to use UNIX, OS X, and Windows on a daily basis and each of them have their shortcomings.

Proudly NOT a member of the FireFox and Linux bandwagons.

FireFox is just too basic with just a base install. Takes far too long to get all the extensions\plugins Opera comes with by default.

Linux still severly lacks user friendliess. Atleast the 6-7 distros I've tried.

I don't use something because It's cool or I hate this company or that company.

I use something simply because it's a better product.

IMO, Brand loyalty is a stupid concept. If something has earned my trust (say NewEgg) I will continue to use their services, but only until I find something better.

Uhm... it's not hard to disable the firewall.

You only get the "Are you sure you want to open this?" if you are using IE... simple solution, use something else.
