I have an opp. to buy a delphi XM skyfi system (with car or home kit) for just 98.54 which is about half of the price of this system @ Bestbuy.

Also it includes the programing for 3 months free.

I drive about 40 miles each way to work and think this sytem looks pretty tempting. I have been thinking about getting a Siruss or XM system for some time.

I really think this deal is sweet but I am still unsure.

I mainly listen to talk radio (sports) and was wondering a few things.

1. It seems that you can take this system between the house and car with the purchase of a home kit in addition of a car kit. Ids that the case?

2. How difficult is it to move the system from one car to the other?

I am pretty sure I am gonna do this but I have some reservations on if this system is worth it.

also I would need to buy a FM Modulator because my deck is only a CD (I do have an AUX IN)

I just purchased the skyfi with the boombox option. I have not had a ton of use with it yet since it is hard to use in my basement without getting the antenna extension cable. But I did take it camping last weekend, and it worked great. I think it is a great product and that sounds like a sweet sweet price. I would say if you are considering it at all, then i would say go for it, especially at that price. I would say the only downsides I have found so far with the unit are

1.It is somehwat big compared to other units which can run straight froma head unit. But this isn't much of a problem for me, especially since with this you don't have to mount the tuner somehwere and run all the wires.
2.In direct sunlight the screen washs out, it is still very easy to read, but it goes from the normal orange on black to black on white. Like I said it still works fine, and just tilting it slightly should solve the problem completely.

Can I ask how you are getting such a sweet deal?
