tho, the radeon 8500 i have is built by ati and they havent fixed it after 2 rma's bah, if it works its a very good card :)

What is the retail clock speed of the Radeon 8500le 64mb card? I thought it was 250 mhz and that is what that card is running at (see link above). Also, what do you mean by people have had problems with powered by ATI cards? In otherwords, should I go with this Gigabyte (powered by ATI) card?

;) It's got to be good for the money. It may lack dual RAMDACs so dual CRT will be out the window. Clocks for an 8500 should be 250/250 (250/500 taking DDR into account), 230/230 is the lowest you'll want to go but some could be 230/166 or lower! Other poss probs from a non-ATI 8500 are mostly to do with slightly worse image quality and cheaper RAM which inhibits o/c'ing. It's unlikely you'll get all of these afflictions but you may get some. You could either try a Rad9000PRO which are FAR more consistent through the diff manus or else see how much a true ATI 8500 is, the 8500LE is also very good and an 8500LE-128MB is better than an 8500-64MB.
