Hey, I need a new TV and I think this is a pretty good deal. I've never heard of 26" TV's before but Samsung is pretty good I think. What do you guys think, only 600 bucks

why not a WEGA?

i just bought this TV from BB black friday..awaiting shipment hehehe

the 16:9 on this has no picture distortion (as long as i have the dvd at 16:9)

and the quality is almost as good as hdtv

If you're looking to buy it from Sears, I hope you buy it today. They have an additional 10% off all purchases - today only.

Wow, the only thing to sweeten that deal would be to buy that TV from a Sears store in Delaware (where there's no sales tax.) 🙂

Are you JKing, normal tv almost as good as hdtv?

I agree that the Sony is nice but dont think it can stand up to a hd signal on the Samsung

I saw that listed in one of the Black Friday ads. Wish I'd had the money for that for the bedroom!

Sweet price for a 16:9 direct-view set!

Oh...and avoid Sony...they're overpriced crap. Although, the price listed on that WEGA link isn't that bad. Sony has just gotten a bad rep with the WEGAs and with the customer service.

SONY WEGA SONY WEGA...geez...dont you guys know anything besides SONY WEGA?

The Samsung is a decent set. If you are looking for an HD set, its not a bad option.

oh of course not lol

i saw it and it was vastly superior to the other TV's on display..and a little better than the toshiba display.

on a really good hdtv, of course it won't be as good, but the display was also next to a crap hdtv and i couldn't tell a difference...hense my jump-to-conclusion remark 😛

Hey, I ordered this last night but forgot to check out the responses before I did it. Anyways, I didn't get the 10% off, was this supposed to be in store only? Sears was closed by the time I saw this so I had to order online. Should I call them up and ask? Also I haven't gotten an e-mail for my instore pickup yet, should I call about that too?

I have heard only good about that specific Sony Actually. Easily the best picture quality in its class that I have seen and the sound is pretty good as well.
