I bought a 1993 Mercedes 190E and drove it from San Diego to DFW, 1500 miles total. The wheels were out of balance and it caused the alternator bolt to come loose and shatter the plastic radiator fan. Thankfully I had relatives in Phoenix, so I had an extra day to fix it.

Then I bought my current car, a 2000 Mercedes C230K in Philiadelphia and drove that back 1700 miles back to TX. No problems.

Both cars had issues the listings misdiscribed and I made both sellers give me money back for it.

Considering myself somewhat of a vetern now, I think I can get this monster home and put it in storage.
 You are definitely my kind of guy, in a manly, non-swapping of bodily fluids kind of way.

As you well know, that Caddy is just one big tuna in the sea. The best deals are found just driving around down the byways and back streets, spying some beached land yacht (or whatever vintage vehicle strikes your fancy) with unclipped grass surrounding it and a sun-faded For Sale sign gracing the window.

I have faith in your quest. You are my Captain Ahab, and shall spear your Great White Whale, with a matching white vinly top, say I.
