Hello, I was looking for a new receiver. The HK AVR 130 is at CC for 350 w/25 gift card. Has anyone had experience? I am not an audiophile, I just want a receiver that will last for at least 3-5 years. 6.1 is not that much of an issue for me, I just want to have freedom for upgrading in the future(as in having enough inputs/outputs). Is this a wise decision? My HDTV has 2 sets of component inputs so component video switching will not be much of an issue. If you don't reccomend this, please give me a suggestion.

sure the h/k sound is excellent. I have the avr430 and I love my reciever to death. The manual may be a tad hard to read but other than that I would definitly recomend the h/k lineup.

I have an AVR55 for like 5 or so years now. THing is built like a tank, but sounds nice. I'm in no way an audiophile, but I really like the sound and the fact that there's little distortion at high volumes.

decent receiver.. h/k i find is exceptional for 2 channel listening (compared to anything in it's class)
so if this amp is mainly going to be used for music, it's a great buy in it's price range... I have a Yamaha RX-V740 which is great, but a little more money.. I wish I could have spent more on the receiver, but not really worth it in the end. I am really happy with my receiver too. (I used to own an h/k)

I love my AVR120. It's close to 2 years old and still looks and works like new. Great receiver and worth every penny. I think I paid $325 in April of 02.

I have an AVR500 and it is a great receiver. I can run the volume up to max on my Klipsch RF3s with NO distortion! It's really really loud though.

Okay, I guess I will get it thanks guys. One last question, would it be better if I bought the AVR 130 at CC and paid about 370 bucks (with tax) or if I bought it online from etronics at 270 bucks and bought a 5 year warranty (70) plus the cost of shipping? Etronics. If I bought it from CC, I would only get a 3 year warranty (1 from HK + 2 extra from credit card). Should I work with the hassle of buying online or just go B&M from a major company?
