I am replacing and A7V that is finally giving immense headaches. Want to get ATA100 via the new 686B southbridge and these tow mobos seem to be the best option. I would love to hear feedback regarding these two and which one you think is better. System will be A750, 256MB, 2 x ATA100 15GB, etc...

Anand rated the K7T Pro2 above the 8KTA2 in overall scores and my gut reaction is that MSI makes a better board. I have always used Asus before, but the A7V has left me high and dry and it sound like the Abit version is just as sketchy.

Please give me yoru recommendations!

Thanks!

Pro2 only has ATA66, since it is using only the 686A south bridge. MSI has no definite words on when the Pro2A, which uses the 686B south bridge, will come out.

Um, the MSI K7T Pro2-A is alreday available for $129.00. You can get it at Openlinx (http://www.openlinx.net/)

It does have the 686B southbridge (READ: ATA100 support) and that is why I am interested in it. The Epox 8KAT2 also it. I am just wondering what others experiences have been with these two and if one is strongly favored over another.

Thanks
