I have been reading this great forum for a month, found out I did not know squat.. I was thing of getting a PIII 800 when I can here..

I have my $$$ saved and was going to place ored today at Monarch for a 900 T-Bird and a MSI K7T Pro2-a, What to do..
Should I wait a few more weeks for a Turbo or The new Epox board???

OH how do I tell if the T-Bird is a 266 FSB???

Thanks

IMHO, wait for the 133 chipset to come out. It's much more OC friendly. Plus, it's only a few days away from the market...

If you have the patience, wait. :)

Or if you are like me and just dying to have a t-bird right now and are just as impulsive and didn't know that the Turbo will be released somewhere in the beginning of January, then you would have gotten the Pro 2 a. ;)

The endless waiting was driving me slowly insane, so I went ahead and ordered a Pro-2a with a 1.2GHz T-Bird from Monarch last Friday. I suppose I would rather have a Turbo, but it was worth taking a slight performance hit (to me) to have something now.

Well I think it is worth the wait...it's been hard on me too.. i've been dying to upgrade..but for once I wont be impulsive and i'll wait for the 133 mobos and procs to come out :)

in the meantime, to calm my upgrading impulse im buying new ram, vid card and mouse :p
