they had a lot of problems a few yrs ago.. released customer information once.. or maybe they were hacked.. something along those lines. aside from that, the 'tigerdirect rebates' rarely come in. if no rebates involved and you know what you're buying... i say go for it. they have been better recently.

The thing is, newegg doesnt come with the usb soundcard, and it is the same price. There is no rebate so i think that there shouldnt be a problem buying it from tiger direct. Ill give it a try i guess.

Same here. Ordered a case and when it came in the front of the case was broken off. im talking about the whole front of the case. Looks like someone tried to superglue it. RMAed it and got the 2nd one in...same thing...dont know if its tiger direct though or the company who made the cases. But I def dont like tiger.

On the contrary, I've had very good experiences with Tiger Direct. I ordered all of the parts from my first build from them and I had not one problem, even when I had to RMA my CPU. I found customer support to be good, and delivery time, while not as quick as Newegg, was still good. Their prices are decent, but Newegg still holds the advantage in that area. Overall, however, I would go with Newegg. Everything about them is good, and I probably would not get parts from anyone else but them, unless I found a better deal somewhere else. Bottomline, Tiger Direct has been good in the past (at least to me) and I wouldn't mind ordering a spare part here or there, but if you want to order parts for a build, then Newegg all the way.

The thing is though that newegg has the same price as TD and the icemat siberia at TD has the usb sound card, and the one at newegg doesnt. So thats whats leaning me to go with TD even though i hear these stories that people had bad experiences. So im still thnking about it.

Well, since im leaning towards newegg, what are some really good headsets for gaming for around 60-80 bucks? I was thinking mabe to go with dsp-500's or sennheiser pc160's. Any suggestions?

I hate TD. Sent me wrong parts. Had to buy more and ship the rest back. Had to fight them to take off the old charge for the wrong parts. Took 1 year, 3 months, and 17 days to recieve all of my rebates.

i've been through what your thinking right now. and order from td, since there one state away from me, (i'm in wi, there in il) there standard shipping is like overnite for me.
in fact ordered at 2pm, it shipped the same day, and is scheduled to be at my house tonight. newegg in my book likes to hold orders a day, and shiping from ca to wi, is min 3 days.
