I don't think this will last forever!

I mean, 256MB DDR 2100 for $59.99? Include S/H and NO TAX.

How long will this last or will it eventurally go up when I will HIT MY HEAD and regret!

Has anyone bought crucisl PC 2100 DDR? Do you like it?

You're right--it'll probably go down some more before stabilizing. RAM is somewhat like processors in that PC2100 DDR won't be the fastest SDRAM solution forever.

It's a good price, if you actually are already using PC2100, by all means BUY!!

what sys do you have right now...if you are running ddr right now and you have free space for more ram then go for it!!! but if you dont have ddr right now then i would wait, the performance increase isnt worth it if you already have a good sdram based system

Well, depends on when you want to upgrade. I'd say if you're pretty sure you'll be upgrading then do the dance. DDR isn't going to get much cheaper. And as soon as the summer swoon ends you'll see prices go up in fall as they always do. Personally, I'm going for an nForce mobo and dumping Intel ASAP (ie August when the mobos are released hopefully). Knowing this, I think I made a smart move by picking up 512MB of DDR PC2100 from crucial for $120 (that's something around 20 cents a meg - sick). So if you're not sure, it's a much tougher call. Only you know the size of your bank account.

I would say DDR prices are either going to stay the same or drop some more. DR333 is in the works so that might be the new standard.

I don't think RAM prices will be going up this year at all. PC market is in deep trouble, last thing it needs is memory getting more expensive.

wait... don't think it is going to go up or even if it does not by enough to warrant you stocking it.

Another thing to consider is that in a month or so, Crucial will be replacing their PC2100 with CL=2.5 Micron modules with the newer CL=2 Micron modules...
