Should I buy BF2?

I got the shiny new graphics card but due to work I am never here🙁

I have switched my schedule around to have *some* free time but want to buy something "great," and can't think of anything besides BF2.

Let's not talk about unfortunate events and games here people (RED FACTION 2 a good deal # $10 my ass:|)

Anyways, what are my options besides:

-Chronicles of Riddick (already have it)
-FarCry (already have it)
-HL2 (already have it)
 
Bf2 For teh winnar.
EDIT: must have a mic/be in a clan for it to be any fun. I joined prod1gy's here. his o may be a 0 but the thread is findable. Its good times.
 
How's the login server? I heard there was problems with that.

That might shy me away from buying.

Big patch coming out at the end of this month that refines it. Right now, for me, it works as well as any other game browser.
 
I have played BF2 and was not very fond of it at all. The kill/heal thing is really annoying (if that still happens, I don't know; I quit playing it and got rid of my copy) but it's just...not the same as BF1942 + Desert Combat mod.

If you gotta get a game, I'd suggest UT2004 at NewEgg...it's like $12 after s/h and from what I've heard, it's a blast.

BTW, I suggest you create a poll for an easier tally of votes/opinions.

Much better now. It used to be a freaking nightmare, but now it's really very smooth.

Nope. Thankfully I decided to try the demo first. The one thing that really pissed me off is that you can't have the same key mapped for multiple things. I don't want to memerize the whole keyboard just to play a game.

It's not great, but it works. There are other server browsers you can use as well.

To the OP, yes, it's a great game.

Nope. I agree, it has WAAAAY too many bugs, but it's a damn awesome game.
 
No, and this is the first time I've ever said no specifically due to an 'I HATE EA' reason. I hate the fact they have come up with this official ranked server crap and in order to unlock weapons I have to play on these servers with a bunch of random tards. Sure, my friends could unlock all of the weapons on their own server but then EA will remove their server from the listing and we will just be playing alone.
