Should I Buy An Inkjet Or Laser

I am buying a new printer soon. I am considering an inkjet or a laser. I will use the printer for a mix of black and white documents, colored photos on regular paper, and a 4x6 once and a while, maybe once or twice a week. I was considering a color laser, but I heard that they werent good for 4x6. If I buy an inkjet, I want the Epson Expression XP-800. Is that printer any good? Also, if I should buy a laser, what is a good color laser?
 
Generally inkjet is the way to go for color prints because color laser printers are still behind and aren't cheap for home users. Don't know about that particular epson model.
