Should I buy an Athlon K7 Slot A or Athlon Thunderbird Socket A -same MHz?

Asus K7V is slotA. You want A7V.

Get the SocketA. SlotA is old and dieing out, AMD is not producing any new SlotA CPUs.
 
You should get a socket A setup since it leaves room for future upgrades.

Slot A is already discontinued so unless it's SIGNIFIGANTLY cheaper otherwise socket A is the way to go.
 
Hey Poopsky a tip for you befroe I tell you what to get! Open up your profile for one so that we know you are genuine for help and not a Junior Member who wants to get their own back on the forums cause his other user got banned. And also good of you to say sorry for your mistake cause another guy did that in this forums! He locked his profile and made up a load of junk and he got flamed with 90 or so posts! I don't think you would like that so open up your profile and PM so we know you are genuine! And the mobo you are looking for is either the Asus A7V and Abit KA7. Well for out look and future upgradability and stuff and price I would go for the Asus A7V T-Bird or maybe Duron setup because they are the computer mobo CPU combo to get if you are going AMD!
