The window switch on my vw constantly goes bad. They last maybe 2 years and then your window won't roll up.The switch is like 100 from vw but 33 from some non vw site on the internet and it has a ten year warranty which is way longer than a vw switch would last. Should I just get the cheaper non be part

OEM window switches along with most other switches and components are designed for a specific number of cycles. Whereas an engineer might bring 3 or 4 switches to the table, the switch that will last a lifetime will be quickly passed over for the switch that will fail after 3000 cycles to save three or four cents. Considering thousands of all the switches and other components on a car, this savings can really add up. Aftermarket switches don't have this type of engineering built in. Go aftermarket and it will last longer.
