Question Should I buy a PS4?

So I know I can probably get a PS4 on sale in a couple of days during boxing week sales, but I’m not sure if the investment would be worthwhile, since I already have an Xbox one S. I know that there are quite a few huge differences between the consoles, but specs wise, they’re pretty similar. I like the idea of using wireless headsets and keyboards on PS4, which Xbox doesn’t support. I’d like to be able to play some exclusives on PS4, such as The last of us and Uncharted (ik they can be played on ps3 but I don’t want to get a ps3, and I’m aware that I’ll probably end up paying for Ps Plus, which is yet another payment on top of Xbox live, and other than the exclusives, there are a lot of games that I already play like gta, fortnite, rainbow so there would be no point in buying them in PS4, unless I wanted to play with my friends who own a PlayStation, which is another thing. Do you think it’s worth it to buy a PS4, even though I already have an Xbox?

It depends on how much you want to play the titles you mentioned, and how many friends play online with the PS4. If you think you'll get your money's worth out of it, go for it. If not, then just stay with the Xbox One.

Outside of that, there's not much anyone can say to sway you in either direction.

Xbox supports wireless keyboard and headset, the keyboard support is new and might be limited, haven't tried it.

Only reason to get a ps4 is if you want to pay the exclusives or you have a friend(s) with it to play multiplayer.

If you want the great single player games. I'd just stick to XBox for MP though so you're not paying for two online services. For SP games the PS4 usually renders 1080p though while XBox One S usually renders at 900p. Not a huge difference though.

PS4 certainly has more/better exclusives. Whether or not it's worth checking out is completely up to you.

My PS4 has been worth it just for Horizon: Zero Dawn and the Crash Bandicoot remakes. Horizon in particular is one of the better games I've played. Still making my way through it.

I don't know if you need to do that to be honest. Sony just recently received a patent that leads most people to believe the PS5 will have full backwards compatibility with PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4. If you held off this long on getting the console, you might as well wait and see if PS5 does have the complete backwards compatibility and then pick that up as you could then play any PS game on it.

Sony also got a patent before the PS4 that would limit the sale of used games. Thankfully they did not employ it, but it was an option on the table. I tend to take these kinds of patents as possibilities rather than certainties.

Hence why I stated wait and see. I have a feeling there will be announcements this summer with release likely next year.

If one is comfortable with games on the PS then only go for the PS 4.:) Other than PS there are also different gaming that you can go for.
