Should I buy a new video card?

I'm re purposing an older computer of mine. I want to hook it up to my 55" 1080p tv and play games on it. I'm thinking probably some older games, but I would like to buy MW3 and play it.

The computer is a Intel Q9450 w/ 8GB and a Nvidia 8800 GTS (512MB?)

Does that still have enough horsepower to drive that resolution with MW3? If not what should I get to replace it, maybe in the $100-200 ish range.

Thanks for the info!

You can always try those older games, including MW3, and if you aren't satisfied with the performance, then consider looking for a new card. There is no point in wasting $ upfront. But if you know you want an average of 60 fps in MW3 with 4AA, HD6850 is a good start. Although, I'd consider overclocking your CPU too, if you can.

NP, just to give you an idea, the engine in MW3 is pretty much the same as in MW2. So if you had no problems playing that game with your system, MW3 should be no different.
