Should i buy a new driver?

I read an article in this month's golf magazine, and it stated that if you're using a 1990's driver that you could easily gain 30 yards by switching to a newer club. I've been using a mizuno t-zoid Ti 10.5° loft.

I've hit my friend's drivers on the range, but never at the course, and hit them well enough. I've seen deals for under $200 for newer clubs like the cleveland launchers and the sort so is it worth it?

Whats your opinion been on newer drivers?

In my opinion the newer (last 3-5 years) can add distance.

But man I used to spank the heck out of the original great big bertha. No club has ever felt that good.

I've noticed a lot of people with the Taylor Made R7 lately. I haven't followed golf equipment in a while but that must be the in driver now.

i don't think iron technology has changed a whole lot, but driver technology certainly has. you'd probably at least benefit from the bigger sweet spots if anything. even tiger has switched to the oversized drivers.
