Should I buy a new 650Ti to replace a 7770 vapor-x

My spec at this time: i3-2100 @3.1Ghz, 4GB RAM, sapphire HD7770 vapor-x, and PSU: ACBEL CE2 450W.
I want to play BF3 multiplayer with mesh quality high. My spec now just can afford low or medium mesh quality, when I set to high the game drops FPS dramatically in some case and cause flickering ( FPS fluctuates about 32-45).
I did read some preview of MSI and Zotac new 650Ti but they just test in single player which is far more different from multi .
So is it a good deal ?

The best upgrade is just lowering some settings, the first thing to do is kill msaa if its enabled, then drop mesh then overall all the settings to medium, post medium aa and it should play silky smooth.

As you did not mention your resolution,i will assume 1080p?

Keep the 7770,drop the settings or consider a 7850 at bare minimum for a better off experience over your 7700.

My res is 1366*768, I only need high mesh quality for long distance view and terrain decoration for spotting triangle ( an advantage for air vehicles and snipers )

Grabbing a 7850 would def ensure basically a maxed out BF3 experience with msaa included on ultra and if you go 1080p,it will offer some performance still there as well.

Recently dumped a 7850 that would do all ultra without msaa and it ran well over 60fps all the time at a slighter higher resolution of 1280x1024 with basically no drops below 60fps.

IMO it is not worth it to upgrade from a HD7770 to a 650Ti. The 650Ti is somewhat faster, so if you were purchasing from scratch, you might consider it over a HD7770. However, it is not enough faster that I would consider upgrading to it. It is also still expensive since it is new on the market.

As someone else said, the best upgrade would be an HD7850.

Just get a 7850 2GB model.

The lower end Nvidia cards really are not worth it this gen for the prices. And they're certainly not going to be a 7850 in value or performance if its an OC model.

Yup, the 7850 is also a beautiful overclocker as well, many of them can overclock upwards of 1050+ on the core without touching the voltage.

If case clearance is a concern,i recommend the msi twin frozr 3,at a petite 7.8'' its a awesome little card, that was the model i had and i could not recommend it enough.
