I have a single bfg 6800gt right now. I get a score of around 5,800 in 3dmark 05. Yeah i know. Props to me. lol. I was wandering if it is better just to buy a nother 6800 for 300.00 or sell my card and buy a 7800gtx for 500.00ish.. ? performance increase....? i know substantial.. But i run most of my games in 1024 by 768... B/c of the higher hz.. Let me know what u think... Ohh powered by a 3000+ @ 2.7 ghz. Watercooled of course.. I can water cool the 6800 too. Keep that in mind.. Thanks guys. ~Jared

7800GTX definately.
I started with 6800GT in SLI and now I am a 7800GTX owner.
The heat + power consumption + SLI problems in games isn't worth the minimal performance increase.

well... first of all i just wanted to ask... is there a specific game you are having trouble running at a framerate that satisfies you? I would imagine at 1024, your single 6800gt could handle almost everything... if you must buy a card.... i would get the 7800gt which actually does better than the 6800gts in sli when it's overclocked. I would imagine that it woudl be enough for 1024... if you must have a GTX... here is a link to some benchies with 6800 ultra in SLI vs those cards

also i would like to recommend waiting about a week.... ati is coming out with a whole new line of cards which might be very good actually and NV should be coming out with a 512mb version of gtx (maybe higher clockspeed? this one i don't know about) .... so if i were you i would certainly wait for that. just my 2 cents
