I can't even count the number of times I've walked down from Dwight & Warring (Clark Kerr) down to Telegraph or College and I can see people trying to parallel park, hit the car in front/behind of them and continue parking, and walk off to school/apartment.

Seriously. When I need a ride somewhere in Berkeley/Oakland/SF/Anywhere in the Bay Area, I just find a friend. No need to risk MY CAR.

Plus. Parking fees are a b!tch.

You are asking for your car to be hit, damaged and/or broken into.

Especially if you are parking on the street, I have walked by cars that still had broken glass inside the car and on the street.

I had a friend at berkeley who had garage parking and twice his car got broken into and his stereo stuff stolen. Plus the usual banging the car during parking because no one can drive worth sh*t in berkeley.

Another friend who also had garage parking had his car keyed so hard that the panel was gashed in.

People in berkeley are dirty punk ass f*cks. You're better off buying a handgun and filling it with rubber bullets over bringing your car.

there really isn't a need for a car in berkeley, buses/bart are more convenient. your car will be safe as long as you have an alarm and where you choose to park it. hillegass w/ a B permit is where i used to park, and i never ran into any problems. yearly parking if your car is registered at the address in berkeley the price is $30 , which is pretty fair.
