Should I bother getting a 22" LCD with a 7300 GT?

My CRT's going green on me, so I'm eyeing up an LCD to replace it. Problem is that I'm stuck with a crappy videocard for the time being. I will be gaming on this (at low to medium settings of course), so will not being able to run at native resolution suck too much?

This is where 1:1 pixel mapping (with black borders around the image) comes into play. You think all these guys with 30" monitors actually play all their games at 2560x1600? :p

Once you hook up your LCD with a DVI cable, you should be able to access higher resolutions.
