Could have been avoided, I mean a simple apology for "bumping up" against someone could work wonders. But I get it, sometimes ya gotta stand up for yourself...that being said you and your friend picked the wrong battle. Give it some time, it will likely blow over. Was this at a bar? on the street?

So no way to see these guys again, buy them a round, laugh and forget about it? This is not good.

While I seriously doubt you need a panic room, looking over your shoulder for a while would be a great option.

In Canada I cant buy a gun, I'm not even allowed to defend my self.

Stop being a douche, I know many of my friends here in Vancouver have guns. Assuming you aren't a convicted felon, it's very possible to own a gun.

It was a group of russian guys, I suppose they followed me here. And to make sure it was my house instead of someone I was visiting they knocked on it a couple of days later to see.

Owning a gun in Canada is not an easy task, also using the gun will land me in jail for manslaughter, there is no such thing is self defense here. You shoot someone or stab someone in a life threatening situation you land in jail, have to post bail or stay in there until trail to try and prove your innocence. Not worth the time or money.

Gun, why? Have a set of keys OP? If you don't have a particularly log key, get one. Walk with it, if you get attacked key=shiv. In the neck.

Not true according to the Canadian Criminal Code.

http://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-46/page-12.html#h-9

Every one who is unlawfully assaulted without having provoked the assault is justified in repelling force by force if the force he uses is not intended to cause death or grievous bodily harm and is no more than is necessary to enable him to defend himself.

tell us now, so we know what to tell the cops when you go missing.

They're just trying to scare the crap out of you. It's not worth the risk to seriously assault you, so they're instead just trying to intimidate you such that you don't do it again. They weren't confirming where you live. They could have done that more discretely. They were sending you a "I know where you live" signal in a fashion that they can deny actually threatening you. Unfortunately, it looks like it worked, and you probably wouldn't help another friend if something similar happened again. :(

Please be honest...

So a couple of days ago, some russian dudes were roughing up a buddy of mine, I couldn't stand around and do nothing so I confronted them and ended up getting my self caught up in the mix I'm not sure but I think I was threatened.

2 days later someone is banging on my door I was too tired to answer it so I just let them keep knocking...they were knocking pretty hard.

3 days after that I get the same kind of knocking on the door, its the same thing they did before 1 ring on the door bell and constant hard knocking. This time I went and answered it. I saw some young built russian guy with a heavy accent standing in front of my door with an iphone in his hand. He said someone gave him my address because they were selling a car, complete bullshit if you ask me. I said no one is selling a car here, he said oh well they gave me this address. I said I think you got the wrong address, his phone rang he said excuse me, and he left.

Now what I think happened is, he wanted to make sure I lived here, so now that he's made sure that I live here, he can plot out what ever it is that his buddies intended to do. Now honestly, should I be worried? or am I tripping out.
Honestly? Yes, probably.
Russians don't scare so, you might have to kill a few.
They are hard because their lives so awful. Cuisine is pigeon: http://englishrussia.com/2011/07/21/how-russians-survive-the-crisis/

Anyway, if I were to answer the door again I would have 911 predialed so that if something looks rude you just hit "call" and it immediately calls through. Used this trick before (but didn't have to call it).

Also, time is short so now you must train. Train hard like never before. Do not go around crowds, keep an eye out at all times always with an out. Pack light and in shoes you can run with. Sh*t is about to get real, bra!
You shoot someone or stab someone in a life threatening situation you land in jail, have to post bail or stay in there until trail to try and prove your innocence. Not worth the time or money.
That isn't quite true but yes it's harder to get away with it, no castle law or whatever like in Florida. At least you're no in the UK. You could walk in on your family being tortured there and unless you ask the perps very nicely several times, have it documented etc. you'll end up being sued (ok, that's hyperbole, too).
Every one who is unlawfully assaulted without having provoked the assault is justified in repelling force by force if the force he uses is not intended to cause death or grievous bodily harm and is no more than is necessary to enable him to defend himself.
Good heavens, a bit vague isn't? If I'm being assaulted out of the blue I cannot commit grievous bodily harm? What if it IS necessary to enable to defend myself, what then? Lots of home invasions in Canada, though, probably because of laws like this. I think more per cap than in US but I cannot find the stats.

When you answered the door, did the guy happen to do this?

I beat up a neighbor a couple of years ago. About 10 minutes after that there was a loud knock at my door. I opened the door expecting to see my neighbor but instead it was his skinhead friend. Closely shaved head, no shirt, buff and tatted up. My first thought was that I was about to get my ass kicked.

Either the guy wasn't there to whip me (couldn't tell that by his stance/attitude) or by stepping to him he realized I wouldn't be an easy target. We didn't fight and he ended up making excuses for his friend.

I learned long ago that if there is trouble, you just have to step up. Cowering or acting like you are afraid will get you beat down. Getting your ass kicked only hurts for a couple of days. Being a pussy hurts for a life time.

Since you cant defend yourself, call the cops now. And keep a camera handy, next time you see any of the dudes, snap a pic.
