Ugh.. wife and I are staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel and she decided to log into her bank over a wireless connection. I just found out.

even though the connect was over https, is she screwed?

tethering with your phone should be more secure than any connection....in theory.

You could not pay me enough to type in a password on any public connection.

It's possible someone sniffed your packets and stole your info. Call your bank and deal with it.

there is an android app out there that will sniff any passwords on a public wifi.

I've never known anyone that has had any bank, debit, or credit account fraud. And even if it were to happen, you are covered against it.

a chick I work with just lost every dime she had in her checking account because someone got her debit card number. The bank will repay her...in two weeks.

Better to be safe than sorry.

You are safe though. She IS being reimbursed.

I have many things to be concerned with before using my accounts online.
