I had a customer on the phone and one of my co-workers came by; I pressed the mute button on my headset, went "hello?" to verify the guy couldn't hear me, and then proceeded to bash this guy since he was being super annoying, super whiny. I said something along the lines of "I am gonna kill this guy he is so annoying! I am gonna poke him in the eye!!!"

And then on my headset he goes "Are you talking to me?!"

To which I instantly went "Hello sir? Oh I am sorry, I thought I had you on mute; I was talking to a co-worker of mine regarding someone else, I apologize if you thought I was talking about you, but in no way was it aimed at you."

So.... the guy bought it according to him "Oh okay, sorry my mistake, yeah don't worry about it..." etc etc... but I wonder... what can happen? :Q

You're likely fine. Who knows? You'll find out tomorrow. If your calls aren't recorded, then you could deny everything.
 
You broke rule #1, don't dis the customer in front of the customer!

Worried? Depends on if you have supervisors listening in for qc or if your calls are recorded and the customer complains. Either case, yes, you should be worried.

My supervisor just laughed his ass off; our calls are not monitored or recorded; and the guy was going "oh my mistake, sorry for blaming you"
 
When i worked for an isp i would blow into the mic to make sure it was really muted. If you dont hear the whoosh in the phone you are good 🙂

Yeah our headsets get retarded... it did the whole beeping thing and all; beeped while talking... blah screw it; i am covered either way lol
 
hahah, this happened to a coworker of mine. He was making fun of the guy's name and the customer replied that he has an "Ancient" name. He got his manager's info and everything but it doesn't look like anything happened. The coworker was with the company fr 14yrs.
 
Not as bad as my friend hooking up with some chick in a car when he accidentally called his Girlfriend without knowing it and she heard the whole damn thing!!

Oh man he was such a dumbass.

Yeah I suppose... but the guy didn't ask for my supervisor and did not ask for anything else... in fact, I bet I would not hear from this guy again until I call him when I get his processor...
