Should I be smart.....Now with Poll!!!

I just found out that I am receiving 4300 dollars extra from my school's financial aid dept. I started piecing my new rig together about two months ago. So far I have a c2d 6600 and p5w dh deluxe just sitting in my spare room in their respected boxes. So should I ...

1.) blow another grand on the other parts???!!!
or
2.) do the right thing and pay the money back right away.

There is still quite a bit extra if I spend that thousand dollars. I am done school in June so the option of paying next year off is not applicable.

some loving input please....

Invest the money in a really CD and then pay of the loan after. Don't waste your money on something that will be obsolete within a year.

sigh.....*puts head down* ok guys. Actually, DaShen I was thinking of doing that. Slapping all the money in a cd and then paying off the loan as it comes. I would have a nice chunk of cash in the bank. Thanks for keeping me on track. Now to figure out what to do with the parts in the other room, they are becoming more and more obsolete as I type.

so basically you're asking us if you should be smart or stupid?

i think you know the answer already...if not, then you don't have to ask if you sohuld be stupid, because you already are stupid.

From now on, don't even bother asking on here. If you know what the right thing is, do it 🙂
What is right > what feels good

No one said that. But you're asking whether you should do something stupid or something wise. No need for a thread, really, unless your looking for confirmation to do what is wrong, or encouragement to do what is right. I'm saying, since you know what is right, do it.

A poll would be nice, btw.

Actually, do any of you know how the aid money is split up? I got 2 loans for 2 thousand each and a 1 thousand and change pell grant. Do they take equally from the accounts? Using the numbers I just gave, if my tuition is 1000 dollars, would they take it from the grant, or the two loans first?

Blow another grand on parts? Are you stupid? You are probably fine with the rig you have now. Don't waste money. that 2K will turn into 8K when you are out of college.

You're better off getting a no intrest card for one year and payng the stuff off with that....but wait...you probably cannot afford it.
