Considering that probably only about 1% of the total PC market will actually buy a $650 G80 that requires an aircraft carrier's nuclear reactor in your case, I dont think that it will increase their (PSU makers) sales all that much.

Did you see the specs? A while AT had an article saying that ATi and nVidia even warned PSU makers that this generation would need much more power.

We've been getting ready for this moment by buying 500+ W PSU's.

But it does look like you're going to need a crazy PSU if you're going to SLI a pair of 8800's or whatever ATI calls their next gen card (C1900XTXT? Go from Roman numeral "X" (10) to "C" (100) and add a digit? ).
