should I be looking for a new psu already?

I got back from vacation and plugged my computer back in, I have a nearly brand new corsair 550w psu. I heard a quick 'pop' noise when I plugged it in but didn't think much of it. Now the computer starts up for about 1-2 seconds, turns off again and then a few seconds later starts up on its own fine. What happened?

You plugged it in ? It was unplugged when you left for your trip ? RMA it for sure, it should be covered by warranty ...

Yeah I had unplugged it. I wonder if the power in my old house killed it. I bought it from buy.com, should I RMA it from them?
