Should I be good with OC? (Update: Still checking for stability)

I've got my 4790k @ 4.7GHz with 1.3v. I ran Intel Extreme Tuning Utility CPU stress test for 8 hours with no issues. Highest temp was 75c. Ran BF4 for a couple hours and Crysis 3 for an hour. Are those temps good for 1.3v for this particular stress test(IETU)?

Edit 01: Hmm. Hit 90c with 10 runs of Intel Burn Test...

Edit 02: Ok. So my OC wasn't as stable as I thought. I tried to run OCCT and it crashed immediately. I bumped it down to 4.6GHz at 1.3V. No crashes with OCCT. Every game and program I run works flawlessly...until I start up Rise of the Tomb Raider. Crashes after about 5 minutes. So since the stress tests don't seem to really show any instability of my system, I am going to use ROTTR to do my stress testing. LOL. I bumped to voltage up to 1.310 @ 4.6. Going to run the game to see what happens. I will update shortly.

Edit 03: Upping the voltage by 0.01v seems to have done the trick.

Those temps are very good for a 4790k. Almost too good, from what I know about them. Have you disabled any low power features in BIOS?

Stability testing for 8 hours isn't enough for final. I reccomend a full day of p95 before you call it stable.

Maybe one of the Intel guys can confirm those temps.

8 hours of Intel XTU is overkill, and thrashing your CPU for no good reason

75C Tmax @ 1.3V for a 4.7GHz OC is more than acceptable. It'll run less than that in real-world usage.

I think youre good to go with that 4790k@4.7GHz. Your Cpu will be much stronger than a 6700k Stock. I suggest you to enable C1 State with offset+, that will give you much lower temps while you do light task in windows.

So Is IETU a good enough stress test if the CPU only got up to 75c and 10 runs of Intel Burn Test linpack it hit 90c? What should I make of this?

What CPU cooler do you use? Is great temps. But still, be aware that it hits 90C

Is it the voltages themselves that degrades the life span or the temps from the voltages that degrades the life span?
