I was just checking out the voter information booklet for the county primaries, and they had an ad in the back for pollworkers. Either position I apply for (inspector or judge) would pay $180/110, respectively, but I thought it would just be an interesting thing to do, it's only a couple Saturdays at most, make some spending money, and get involved in local politics in a very minor way.
Is it worth it?
How would this look on a resume, would there be any possibility for advancement, etc? I don't really care that much about money or advancing, but any involvement I could do would be a good thing, I think.
*sigh* Nevermind. I have to work from 9AM till noon on the 16th, and I have classes all day on Nov. 4th. Dammit.
Maybe I'll try and be an aide for someone a few days a week this next year.
