Yeah, get a new 400 watt power supply from the hot deals forum.

Don't listen to that crap.

It's not about how many watts you have, it's about the quality of the PSU. My 220w PSU is pushing my 2.5ghz p4, two sticks of ram, two hard drives, dvd and cdrw, floppy, two system fans, an ATI AIW 8500 DV, Sound Blaster sound card, HPNA 2.0 card, and 5 usb devices - it's as stable as a rock. My previous setup was was using a THUNDERBIRD 1ghz cpu (super-power hungry), and this PSU was fine ;)

I had my overclocked Tbird 1GHz@1.35GHz and overclocked GF3 Ti200 running on a 250W psu and it worked fine for a year. Voltages were a little low but no problems. Then it suddenly died. While it may work I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Quality definately does play a part in things but you can't tell how well a psu is made by looking at a pic on an online store, so in general you have to go by the wattage.

Yes, your PC died from too little power. That's why PC's always explode when you unplug them... the power level is so low that they just can't take it anymore

My 5v rail was as low as 4.2v at times. The psu was overloaded and eventually gave out under the load. Simple as that.

I never said the PC died, just the psu.
