You know, those guys who install trojans to take over computers and cause dos attacks? Now they are up to a new game:

Using the bots to produce phoney clicks for client websites or can be used to drain a competitors advertising budget. Doing it gradually they can generate thousands of phoney clicks over hijacked ip's, to circumvent controls.

some ads generate revenue on a per-click basis. click-bots do this automatically, making money for the bot's owner.
