I am wondering if Anandtech should create a section that is 100% dedicated to only Linux/Unix questions, problems, rants, raves, etc. I would like to learn more about it and like linux actually, but I dont like sifting through the OS section to find stuff. But this is just my personal opinion and you can lock this if you so desire. I love Anandtech and the people here have helped me out a bunch with problems. LMK your opinion on this and maybe they will add it.

This gets mentioned every now and again, but it has been denied. I think its a bad idea. Why split everyone up? If Windows and UNIX were kept in two seperate forums it would create more work for those of us that would want to visit both. anyhow, they have said no so far, they will probably continue to day no ;)

Then they should have one for Windows as well.

I don't think they should do it. I think if you're looking for a forum that specializes in Linux, you might want to go to a Linux site. It'd be crazy to have a bunch of specialized forums here.

Unfortunately Microsoft decided to use BSD code and create a networking stack. If it wasnt for that the internet would have a little intelligence somewhere ;)
