this is for a friend at college... I went through their system and cleaned up everything, but it just runs crap slow... stupid mini-atx gateway.... I told her just to get a new one. it wouldnt even take my extra sdram.... pos

Get a 1700+ system for your friend it should work better especially oced...

The 128mb of SDRAM (and hard drive) is the bottleneck when opening programs... Not so much the cpu.
