Ordered a couple of USB 5 Bluetooth dongles to make it easier to connect devices to my Win 7 notebook without needing cables. Get this message from the seller:

Drivers are required to use the Bluetooth dongle on Windows. They are available for download here:
64-bit: https://www.[seller's website].com/files/CSR-x64.exe
32-bit: https://www.[seller's website].com/files/CSR-x32.exe
Most people need 64-bit drivers. 32-bit is for old computers that have a 32-bit version of Windows.

After you install the software you should see a new Bluetooth icon on the system tray. You must click that icon and pair your device from there. If you try to use the Microsoft Bluetooth setup that won't work
.

My danger-danger-danger light is flashing brightly.

Got 'em. Plugged one in. Self installed successfully. Appears in all the tight places. Paired with my phone easily, got code and accepted. Phone and PC both appear on the other as connected devices. I can select a file on either device and 'send to' the other. But the file never transfers. Get an 'unsuccessful transfer' failure/error.

To send files to the PC, such as a photo in Gallery, you need to pair the devices, then on PC, you have to explicitly initiate a 'receive' transfer first, and then select the file on the phone, Share, BlueTooth, and then the paired device, then it should send.

I've been able to get it to work with more than one device, sending and receiveing. But geeesh what an ordeal each time.

Pair, connect, send selected file, allow accept, wait for result ....... or some variation of that order. Maybe it works, maybe not.

Vs. plug in USB cable, drag file, done.
