Should a death row inmate be allowed to choose to die by organ donation?

Why not? Because some people in power might have a relative that needs a transplant and all of a sudden they are handing out death sentences by the crapload.

I say sure. In fact death row immates should be used in lab testing. Why harm innocent mice when you can do tests on real humans? Depends on the crime of course but if they're in death row I'm assuming they did something more then smoke a joint or steal a coffee.

I do see no problem with allowing those that wish to donate their organs, but doctors would have to devise a method of euthanasia that does not render the organs useless. Also, many inmates have had lifestyles which may render their bodies unsuitable.

Depends which organ. Some are redundant, some are a single point of failure, such as the brain or heart. 😉

Not a fan of the death penalty, but they should be given the option, assuming they are candidates (IE no blood borne illnesses). For lifers (prison, not ATOT) they should also be given the voluntary option of assisted suicide by organ harvest followed by lethal injection.

His procedure also involves chemicals that cause brain damage
I've always believed deathrow inmates should be used in stunts which cause them to die [ie: car is driven over a cliff and explodes on impact]... or use them in movies such as Saw without special effects. 🙂
